Personalized, in-person guitar instruction for ages 7 and up — from the very first lesson toward classical guitar.
Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to develop classical technique, lessons are designed around a proven program and your individual progress.
Ray Blanchard has played guitar for 22 years and has taught for 12. His classical training began under Glenn Blanchard, who studied with renowned classical guitarist Richard Pick.
Ray's lessons use Richard Pick's instructional program, giving students a structured foundation in classical guitar while making room for steady, practical progress.
Starting from scratch is welcome. Students build fundamentals step by step, with the goal of developing strong technique and a genuine understanding of the instrument.
I provide tasteful classical guitar background music for occasions where you want live music without it overwhelming the room.
Performances typically feature classical guitar selections, arrangements from the Richard Pick program, hymns, and seasonal music.
Tell me about your event and I'll put together a performance plan and quote based on the date, location, duration and type of event.
